Rules For Grace Marks B.sc (IT)

Rules for grace marks are that only one subject per SEM can have grace marks accordingly to the official rules.

So u should have all other subjects cleared(passed in that SEM) as one subject only can have grace marks

ANd u should minimum of 32 marks for that subject to recieve grace marks.

    hi...i gave my paper for revaluation for TYBSc.IT 5th sem...i got 38 marks, as displayed in the revaluation list by Mumbai university...i just wanted to know whether i will get grace marks in my actual result as i just needed 2 marks and dont have K.T in any other subject.

    Actually U should receive grace marks ,go check for surety at Examination house,Phule Bhavan ,vidyanagari(mumbai university) ,kalina ,santacruz (e);

    And also ask for the result ,when it will be give.
    U have to bug them at about de result or they will take their own sweet time .

    hi, i was passed in sem 5 in all subjects. after applying for revaluation for 1 subject they have failed me in the subject and given 39. what does that mean? i have never heard a student who went from pass to fail after revaluation

    My friend Athang Awasthi ur not the first person to do such a mistake.

    One of my friend did the same thing he 40 marks in three subjects ,in which he wrote 110 marks paper ,he thought that he deserves more than 40 marks ,as he was very confident what he wrote.

    But guess what revaluation result came and he had 36 marks in one paper (in which he had 40 marks ).He was so angry.

    because i think i read a rule in rules for revaluation that if marks changes are more 4 marks then only it will be counted.

    i got 32mrks in vb after reval in 5th sem 2011,i was passed on all subjct except VB in 5th sem...i want to know dat they wil give me grace marks or not...actually i got already 40marks in two subject in 5th sem before reval...wil they give me a marks or not...???

    Pass Class means what in Mumbai university.
    I am asking for BSC-IT final year.
    Mumbai university tells Pass Class means below 50% then below 50% means how much percentage.

    Above 60% is First class
    50% above is PAss class

    I am Sure that Happens in Other Fields Like Commerce and Arts.
    I don't know for sure it happens In our Science Field , Please Check with your college in which you want to take Admission.

    Yes he should give for revaluation , there is a good chance he may pass.
    But dont depend upon it ,this is Mumbai university anything can happen or nothing happens.

    Hey sem VIII in B.Sc.IT, u must be from Engineering. Actually i dont know about,at what marks grace are given in Engineering (at 30 marks or 32 marks).

    @iceman,the passing is still 40 for bscit and the minimum marks to send for revaluation have been lowered to 16 from 20.I have 18 in c#,rest clear and my revaluation form was accepted,its just that I had to first take a forwarding number from my college.Hope this helps the other guys who have over 16 but less than 19.Univeristy officials told me that a total of 10 marks can be given grace and 8 marks max in a subject.

    Hi i had two kts in sem6, CRM 22 marks and IT 30marks,The reval is out and it states that besides my seat no. in CRM i have got 41 marks,which means i passed :) but on the other hand theres no mentioning about my IT paper :( what do i do ?Also there are many ppl in my college whose seat no.s are not shown in there what do i do now sir ? i am scared :'( Do u think they forgot about my IT paper?

    Don't worry my friend revaluation results come in 4 to 5 lists which are come one after one, So if your seat no. is not shown for IT paper than wait for the other lists which are yet to be displayed.

    the 1st list of BSc.IT was out on 1/10/11 till now the 2nd list have not yet came and kt exams are on 17/10/11...wtf is mum univ is doing how can thy be so merciless...my result are expected but still atleast it wil give me a peace of mind and i can give my exams peacefully without relying on reval...I HATE MUMBAI UNIVERSITY :@

    May be, once marks given are changed rarely. So dont count on it, if some question are not checked or totaling mistake is there is very good chance.

    Chirag: I still didnt get my IT marks in revaluation,though they displayed my crm papers in the reval list 1. two lists are out do u think there are more to come? When will it come? Could u take a look at the reval list 1 of ty bsc it sem 6.everything is perfect in the list the marks the subjects but the thing is on the top headline it says faculty of commerce.. however in the subjects line they have mentioned properly the subjects of TY BSC IT example: c#,IT,Crm,etc.. can the list be trusted?

    I know that pathetic ness of Mumbai University is increase Year by Year.

    If it says faculty of commerce and is showing T.Y.B.Sc(IT) then it can be trusted ,there might be some kind typographical Error, forgive them they are simply pathetic.

    Yes Mumbai University are very very lazy, they to much time in this revaluation things.

    Some people even wined-up giving ATKT exam before even seeing their Revaluation results.

    So my advice to all is Don't stop studying for ATKT exam.

    sir there is no rule as such that mentions that if after reval there is a change of four marks only then it will bè considered.you have mentioned that as a rule why ? Coz many ppl who have had a four marks change you are saying them that they will get grace. So what is that all about.did you in any way mean.change of 4 and above than 4marks will bè considered ?

    Maths ATKT From Which SEM ???

    Maths is only there in 1st and 2nd Year. Then it depends upon Your college, and it differs from college to college.

    There is 11 pages PDF for rules and on going of Revaluation on MUMBAI UNIVERSITY website and it has that 4 marks 0r 4 marks above rule in that PDF.

    I just took some important rules from that PDF and posted here.

    Hi Sandhya here. I have cleared by sem 6 and sem 5 except for one subject from sem 5, Advanced Java. I would like to know is there a limit to the number of KT exams we can write for a subject and what is the validity like within how many years should i complete the course of BScIT considering that ideally i should have cleared this course in 2005 without any KT's. Also I havent received my sem 6 certificate. Is it 'coz I havent cleared sem5 yet. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!!!

    my friend had 33 marks in sem 5 kt exam.and he had passed in all subjects then too he didnt recieve grace.why ? Whereas other ppl in that situation were given grace. Whats the logic sir.do they select randomly whom to give grace ? Sir please reply asap. Your blog IS VERY important and useful.

    Yes your right.
    You have to clear Sem-5 first, you can't get Sem-6 marksheet until you pass Sem-5.

    I don't know about how many attempts your allowed to give.

    hi i went to my college they dont know anything,they say the university after releasing all revaluation lists then sends it for printing :( wat do i do now?i really need my revaled results till end of this month,as i want to have it for applying abroad for masters course. :( is it like that if we want the reval results early we can get it printed in the university in a fast manner by filling some application ? or giving a personal visit to the university?When do u think they will give us the reval?my reval list had been out in october

    hey i have given my sem 5 exam the sql paper was very tuff because of queries...and my mistake is that i spended more time in queries and leaved that theory questions which answer i know........

    i m confident that i will get marks above 30...and below 40 and also i will get more than 60% so after grace marks will it considered as first class or only pass class.....and there is any chances to give exam again in which we have already passed nd secured less marks....if possible than will it considerd as second attempt ......

    There is a way, as you can collect revaluation result from university directly after printing is done, before it reaches to college, it will save your 4-5days.

    dear Vinit Patil sir do you think at the end of this month or early december the marksheets will be available ? the revaluation list had started being shown in october and my number was there in that,the last revaluation list i believe came on 11.11.11 but the last two revaluation list that came out on november belong to the KT papers i think,So our reval it is the sixth semester reval which was released in october they should have been printed by the november end or early december right??

    I have cleared all my subjects and have got First class in my last year.

    Yes M.C.A correspondence are provided by Mumbai university for which their is no Entrance exam.

    Its the same portion, same duration(3 Years), and exam system.

    I meant, after 7 to 9 days they are going to start the process of distribution of the Revaluation Mark sheet to colleges.

    And positive that we get 8 grace marks, because i seen my friends and many people pass with 8 grace marks like 1 Year back.

    Actually i had a friend working in university so used to call him up and ask. But sadly he left that so now-a-days my sources have become less.

    So some time i go to University and clear all you people doubts.

    And i think they stopped giving Results directly to students. Two year ago they use to

    Hey Guys first of all, Happy New Year to all.

    And I didn't get chance to go university as i had to catch up with my Life, which i missed because of my small vacation.

    I tired to get some Information about this Revaluation List's publishing so late, as Many waiting for their mark-sheets.

    According to the information i got, you don't have to worry about the new lists that may come out, as Mark-sheets of old revaluation lists have already gone to printing in between Dec start and Dec Middle (As i stated earlier also).

    And about new information that i got is Just the same that i got when i visited university last time, that it will take more 10-15 days before distribution.

    I think University People are taking no interest in speeding up the Process.

      First of all if you have 35 marks in ATKT paper examiner tries to pass by adding marks, to make your total to 40 marks.

      If above case doesn't happen then and your stuck with 35 marks you get grace marks and you pass.

      But for grace marks you need to have one and only one ATKT.

      hmmm thats why dear,it shows like that if some kt is left.You have to go to the college to get the answer.Which college are you in ?

    wat a university? Seriously. i failed in 2 subs. i gave fr reval as well as kt.Reval passed me, Kt passed me as well.. But i want reval as it will show first attempt. Too bad reval not out yet. and theres another list of reval out.
    And people say life is PRECIOUS !
